Dr Suzanne Soliman has countless degrees that she has achieved to date. She has found a balance between her work life and family life. She always wanted to be a pharmacist and she never stopped until she achieved her goals. The list of her degrees and work are listed below:
Dr Suzanne earned her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy (UIC-COP).
She completed a residency in primary care with an emphasis on education at Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and a teaching fellowship at UIC College of Medicine.
She is a board-certified medical affairs specialist (BCMAS).
Suzy worked as a clinical pharmacist, independent pharmacy owner, a medical science liaison (MSL) and national field team educator before becoming an Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at UIC-COP.
Currently, she is the Chief Academic Officer for the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) and has faculty appointments at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Rutgers University and St. John’s University.
Suzanne also serves on the local board of health in Bergen County NJ and was appointed in 2018.
Suzanne has over 100 publications and presents nationally on pharmacy, parenting and women’s issues. She got the Rufus A. Lyman Award recipient which is granted for the best manuscript published in the American Journal of Pharmacy Education
In 2019, she was a recipient of the Next Generation Pharmacist Civic Leader Award.
When she was asked about what she basically does now, she replied “I am the Chief Academic Officer for the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA), a business that sets standards and a benchmark of excellence through certification for pharma companies on the competencies that their teams should have when interacting with healthcare providers.
A woman, PharmD in a C-suite position. I get to have an impact on thousands of learners in over 75+ countries who work in the life sciences and healthcare industries so I consider myself pretty lucky. I also currently collaborate with health organizations to improve their recruitment and engagement practices to include more women.”
Suzanne started a group on Facebook named Pharmacist Moms Group (PhMG). The group had 1000 members within a month. Now, it has 35,000 members and it is the largest organization of pharmacists in the United States.
She also started a scholarship at UIC College of Pharmacy where she went to school to volunteer and do career days for students interested in a pharmacy career or STEM career.
