Hailing from a non-musical background a small-town boy from Udaipur, Rajashthan is making his way into the big leagues in Tinseltown. Gaurav Medatwal is a home name in the world of singing!
From a very young age, Medatwal has a fond passion for singing and a voice that was praised by the masses. Gaurav is a fine keyboard player and his charm brought another taste to the music h played. But the young star knew, to take his spot in the singing industry was not going to be easy.
Gaurav found himself a guru and trained in Hindustani classical music. Soon, Medatwal along with his band ‘The Live 100 Experience’ was selected for Colors’ favorite reality show India’s Got Talent. The judges of the show were Kirron Kher, Malaika Arora, and Karan Johar. The band won the runner-up tag but won millions of hearts across the country and Gaurav was an important reason for it!
Gaurav scored his first Bollywood break as a playback singer for Hrithik Roshan’s film ‘Super 30’ with the song ‘Niyam Ho’, composed by the veteran composer duo Ajay-Atul. The song was a massive hit and was termed as the “SUPER 30 ANTHEM” of the year.
Talking more about his accomplishments Gaurav shares, “It’s not just the hard work that pays off, but also your consistency in the industry marks your presence. Its been a great journey for me right from INDIA’S GOT TALENT 8, performing in front of legends of the industry to working for Mr. Hrithik Roshan for his blockbuster movie under the guidance of the gems of music Mr. Ajay – Atul sir.”
Gaurav has now also lent his voice for the theme song of the iconic shows of all time “Kaun Banega Crorepati” hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Gaurav says that his goal is to earn a big name in the entertainment industry. He daily practices for 5 to 6 hours and has already delivered multiple professional shows.
