Tou would need to find a balance in motivating your clients and delivering your message to them. You can do this by making yourself fit and presentable in a professional way and developing your own brand by using the skills that you learned to create a training system that is effective and replicable.
Prepare to Develop and Market Yourself
Becoming a fitness professional is not like the usual 9-5 office job where you have a boss you would need to follow to get things done. Hakar emphasizes the point that in the world of fitness, you will be your own product. You would need to develop and create yourself so that clients would buy into you and your message.
Hakar points out that aside from being physically fit, fitness professionals need to study to pass certification courses, get CPR training and liability insurance. For Hakar, however, the most challenging part of becoming a fitness professional is constantly learning, marketing, updating, and developing yourself to become a fitness professional that will provide real value to clients and help them achieve their best version. It’s a never-ending process.
For many people, becoming a fitness professional may seem to be a fun job. After all, who doesn’t want to get paid to help people work out? While Hakar agrees that this work may be more dynamic and exciting than a tedious desk job, he also acknowledges that it is a difficult and sometimes a thankless job. Despite this, Hakar still believes that if you love what you are doing, you will enjoy doing it no matter how hard it is, and it applies to fitness professionals as well.
