Hailing from Los Angeles, upcoming hip hop artist Yung Smurrf just released a new visual for his song ‘Westside Playground’. The visual couples the audio which was recently released on all audio platforms as well. The audio marked Yung Smurf’s official debut to all major streaming platforms.
‘Westside Playground’ has been well received since its initial release. The video has already amassed over 24,000 views on Yung Smurrf’s official Youtube channel. The visual takes a closer look at what reality sometimes looks like for Yung Smurrf.
Quick pans from performance scenes to B-roll clips are sprinkled throughout the duration of the video. Scenes with a crowd of supporter, inside trap houses where drugs and guns lie all over, and even scenes with fast cars all come together to form one overall aesthetic.
Audio for the track features a melodic vocal performance over a beautiful and soft trap instrumental. Yung Smurrf reflects back at how far he’s come, letting his supporters know that he’s kept it real from the jump. Smurrf raps about his lifestyle now that he’s beaten the odds and points to a life of hustle.
The video came as a follow up to his last music video ‘Free As A Bird’ which came out just 4 months earlier. Yung Smurrf has also been posting more exclusive content on his YouTube, vlogging parts of his day to day process.
