Chinmoy Sharma is one of the brains behind Eerlik Media, one of the new-age digital marketing firms that is already creating waves in the field of social media marketing because of its impressive reach and solid and dedicated client base. Chinmoy Sharma is a small-town boy who is making it big in his life.
Chinmoy was born in Nalbari, Assam but moved to Guwahati due to his father’s job. He did BSc in Electronics from Guwahati University. But his disdain for a typical 9 to 5 job and immense love for social media brought him where he is right now.
Chinmoy first ventured into social media in 2014 when he created his Twitter account @imChinmoy18 to cheer for his favorite cricketer, Virat Kohli. It was during this year that Chinmoy discovered the potential of social media.
He persevered and studied the inner workings of various social media businesses. Somewhere along the way, he was tempted to transform his social media skills into a profession. He was inspired by many he met on the same platforms. So, he started to work towards it diligently. The year 2014-2015 was exceptionally challenging for him as it was then that he decided to take a plunge into social media and digital marketing full time. Chinmoy says ‘My Twitter account grew significantly between 2015-17. In the year 2017, I received my first brand collaboration offer. It assured me that I was moving in the right direction and encouraged me to take up more work and responsibilities. By then, social media was growing rapidly, and people had discovered its use beyond making friends across countries.
In 2018, he met his current business partner from Navi Mumbai, and they both decided to start a digital marketing company. It was a friendship at an intellectual level, and they both realized they think in the same direction.
Now Eerlik Media is fast spreading its wings, and Chinmoy, who loves social media, gadgets, and traveling, has found a way to explore his emotions for his wanderlust. He has started a travel blog, which he feels was long due. Chinmoy always wanted to travel the world and experience diverse cultures firsthand, but this is the first time he has started jotting down his experiences. Chinmoy lives by the quote- the world is a book and those who don’t travel read only the first chapter.
While talking about his passion for traveling, Chinmoy says that he loves to know about various places and people over there. He believes in visiting a place and spending few days there so he can understand their lifestyle, culture, food, and many other things.
