Tell us a little about yourself. How did you get into blogging?
I am Swadhin Agrawal, a blogger and digital entrepreneur from India. I accidentally started blogging in 2012-2013 when I was looking to create a “writing portfolio” for my freelance writing clients then. Gradually my love for blogging grew and I’ve been on the other side of the table ever since. Right from writing for clients to owning a blogging business, the journey has been nothing short of enthralling.
When did you decide to dive into entrepreneurship?
After completing graduation I realized that there were no decent job opportunities for pharma graduates. And leaving my family and going to work in other states wasn’t possible for me at that time.
Result? A jobless graduate.
After countless depressing nights I finally decided I needed to take the plunge. I started with freelance writing and soon went from being paid peanuts to a decent amount per project. But the entrepreneur in me wasn’t still satisfied. I loved what I did but I knew freelancing is only good as long as you put the work in it. Once you’re out of form (take illness, or vacation etc) your paychecks start vanishing. That’s when I decided to get into the other side of the table. Building websites is what is much more profitable and gives you a greater advantage to create an impact.
What do you basically do?
Under my company, Value Intent Media Pvt. Ltd. we manage multiple blogs in various niches. That’s where blogs, videos (say YouTube) and social media come to their rescue. In my opinion, this is a noble way to use your expertise at something to help people looking for it. And, it is quite sustainable if you look from a business perspective too. Most of our blogs are monetized with ads, affiliate marketing and info products and direct partnerships with brands.
What do you offer to your consumers?
As mentioned earlier, our web properties help people stay educated, entertained and engaged online. With my main blog DigitalGYD, I help people start their own blogs and grow them into successful blogging businesses. My mission is to help as many as I can to become financially strong and to create an identity for themselves. Blogging has a lot of potential and specially at this post-covid time when the world is battling job cuts and financial crisis, it can help people, given that they put in the efforts required, build an online business right from their couch.
What are the future plans for your business / the service you provide?
Right now, we are focusing on extending our reach to reach a wider audience. We are trying different platforms and video seems to be the next best choice. So, yeah, YouTube is something we are trying to get into currently
