Have you heard of Adxtti? Everyone’s waiting on his new music and everyone’s showing him love lately. Adxtti is extremely talented even if you feel like he isn’t. For decades, music has been looked at the wrong way. Well, it seems that way according to Brooklyn’s rising artist Adxtti. Adxtti grew up exposed to the street lifestyle in Brooklyn’s and being around in ‘dangerous neighbourhoods’ ignited a passion for music in him.
Also, most of the artists today have fluency and good control of their English. These attributes also explain why Drill music is my best taste. In fact, since my childhood, I have been working to have control over my language, especially when I am speaking too fast. I find it interesting that Drill Rap especially is founded on the most valuable literary devices such as personification, metaphor, poetic conceit and metonymy. How he manages all the above aspects while switching their flow of sounds swiftly remains amazing for me.
Adxtti boasts hundreds of thousands of Spotify plays when his TikTok sensation ‘Devin Booker’ dropped late last year. On top of that, he debuted his mixtape ‘The Darker Picture’ on December 25, 2020, on almost every streaming platform. He prioritizes ‘Split’ on his project which features the Sheepshead Bay Star himself, 917 Rackz.
Consistency is key and I can promise Adxtti will pour every ounce of his heart and soul into being successful. Consider Rap music which has been topping the music charts of Brooklyn since the 90s. This type of music is considered more informing, lyrical, creative, and a representation of cultural perspective. These are the same reasons why I like listening to this type of unique music genre. However, this type of music is associated with immorality and social discrimination by social class. Similarly, these aspects are changing my taste in Brooklyn rap music.
Nowadays, it is extremely tough to do what you want, and become what you want to. However, Adxtti didn’t overlook his options and decided to start writing rap music starting in the 6th grade. He would ‘spit a rhyme’ here and there, and didn’t take it too seriously. However, things have really taken off for the artist and he has since been mastering his craft.
Are you ready for what he has in store? Make sure you check out Adxtti’s music while waiting (http://www.stream.adxtti.com) and follow him on Instagram.
